SPAM Museum Hosts Community Meal

When our community comes together to get something done, it can have a huge impact! last Friday’s packing event hosted by United Way, Hormel Foods, and Matter received an outpouring of community support and was a huge success.

We appreciated the energy and excitement you brought along with your willingness to serve. 210 volunteers came together to pack 6,000 snack kits that will benefit local youth, and the impact value of your volunteer time totals $6,790.

Many of you also brought donations for The Salvation Army’s Food Shelf, and we are proud to report that 1,179 pounds of food and $367 were collected for this important program that serves our neighbors in need.

Last week we saw our Hometown Food Security Project’s impact in action, and we are so excited to share future opportunities with this inspiring group of change-makers.
