Tammy Snee

Chairperson

Tammy Snee is a registered nurse with a master’s degree who has worked for the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., as a nurse manager in the Mayo Clinic Health System in Homecare Hospice and as a director in primary care. She is on the board of directors for the Sacred Heart Care Center. Tammy is passionate about food security and believes empowering individuals through education is the key to comprehensive change. She and her husband, Hormel Foods CEO Jim Snee, established an endowed chair at Baylor University to research food security through the Baylor Collaborative on Hunger and Poverty. Tammy serves on the organization’s board of advocates.

Joe C. Swedberg retired as vice president of legislative affairs for Hormel Foods Corporation in April, 2015. In this capacity, he oversaw all state and federal legislative affairs as well as regulatory affairs and packaging design for the company. He was with Hormel Foods for 34 years, advancing through his career in sales and marketing roles. Swedberg has served and held leadership roles with several agricultural and community-focused boards, including: Farm Foundation Board, Round Table Fellow, Minnesota Chamber of Commerce, Minnesota Agri-Growth Council, Advisory Leadership Circle for the Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation, Minnesota Zoo, and Austin YMCA Board of Directors.

Garrett is a co-founder of Attention Span and leads strategy development for clients. A technologist with extensive experience in content creation, distribution, promotion and communications, Garrett brings a wide-ranging and invaluable understanding to the companies we work with. An EMMY Award winner, he honed his traditional media savvy as VP, CFO and General Manager of KHIZ-TV Los Angeles, where – as the youngest GM in LA television – he oversaw all operations of the station and company, executing its successful turnaround and engineering overhaul. Before KHIZ, he helped launch Global Outsight – a media strategy and M&A consultancy in Cambridge, MA and was on the staff of the mayor of Boston. He is a Harvard graduate who majored in the History of Science and engineering.
